ELEVEN
Digital football magazine ELEVEN was launched in April 2015, covering the beautiful game from the grassroots to the Bernabéu. As editor, I wrote feature and news articles, commissioned writers and guided the editorial vision of the publication.
Issue 1 included features on the New York Cosmos and the rise of the Chinese Super League as well as an in-depth profile of Michel Platini and columns from Jonathan Wilson [The Guardian, World Soccer, The Blizzard] and Musa Okwonga [The Guardian, Stadio football podcast].
Issue 2 featured a profile of Ajax Cape Town, a history of the Red Star, Partizan Belgrade rivalry and interviews with Isha Johansen [Fifa], Johnny McKinstry [former Uganda and Rwanda manager] and football writer Amy Lawrence.
Eleven also produced a comprehensive guide to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup with detailed profiles and analysis of each team and interviews with top players including Christie Pearce, Christen Press, Lara Dickenmann and Katrina Gorry.
Following the second issue, Eleven moved from the Apple Newsstand and Google Play to a website: www.elevenmagazine.co.uk.
The site is currently on hiatus.
